Three of our fencers took part in the The Negeri Sembilan Open Championships 2023, held at the Majestic Hall in Port Dickson from September 2 to 3, 2023, an event which features both Senior and Veteran Categories.


Senior Women’s Épée Individual Event

🥇Gold - Ashley Mae Harrison

In the Senior Women's Épée Individual event, Ashley Mae Harrison outshone the competition, clinching the Gold medal.


🥈Silver - Electra Goh

Electra Goh secured the Silver medal in the same category, displaying incredible finesse and determination.


Senior Men's Épée Individual Event

8th Place - Edgar Rusev

In the Senior Men's Épée Individual event, Edgar Rusev showcased his prowess, earning a commendable 8th place in a highly competitive field.


Veteran Mixed Épée Individual Event

The Veteran Mixed Épée Individual event exemplified the spirit of inclusivity and competitiveness. Male and female veterans from different age groups and backgrounds came together to create memorable moments in this category.

🥉 Bronze - Electra Goh

Electra Goh, once again demonstrated her abilities by securing the Bronze medal in this event. Her performance showcased not only her agility and precision but also the depth of her experience and expertise.


5th Place - Edgar Rusev

Edgar Rusev, earned a notable 5th place in the Veteran Mixed Épée Individual event. His performance underlines his status as a respected fencer in the veteran category.

Under 10 Boy's Épée Individual Event

The 2023 Singapore Minime Festival witnessed a remarkable display of young talent in the Under 10 Boy's Épée Individual event. Our Little Warriors, some as young as 8 years old, stepped onto the international stage with courage and determination.


In a truly international field of fencers from Australia, The United Kingdom, China, Ireland, South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore, our Little Warriors didn't just participate, they excelled!

🥇Gold - Ryan Xu

🥉Bronze - Jeremy Wu

🥉Bronze - Rayvin Wan

7th Place - Tan Shaw Qy


Ryan Xu emerged as the star of the day, capturing the Gold Medal. Jeremy Wu and Rayvin Wan added to the accolades with their stellar performances, securing not one, but two Bronze Medals. Tan Shaw Qy showcased his tenacity by clinching the 7th position in the competition, impressing those who witnessed his bouts.


Under 12 Boy's Épée Individual Event

In the Under 12 Boy's Épée Individual event, our Little Warriors put on a remarkable display, earning accolades and respect.

7th Place - Lukas Kwan

8th Place - Zac Wong


Two of our young fencers stood tall. Lukas Kwan secured the impressive 7th position.

Zac Wong matched his teammate's efforts, finishing 8th.


The success of these Little Warriors would not have been possible without the support of their coaches, parents, and fellow fencers. Together, they form a strong and vibrant fencing community that nurtures talent and fosters growth.


As they continue to train, learn, and grow, we can't wait to see the heights our Little Warriors will reach. The sky is the limit for these young champions, and their journey is just beginning.

Under 14 Girl’s Épée Individual Event

🥇 Gold - Shiloh Xu

Shiloh Xu emerged as a shining star in the Under 14 Girl’s Épée Individual event, capturing the Gold Medal. Her exceptional fencing skills and unwavering commitment were evident throughout the competition. Shiloh's victory adds another remarkable chapter to her promising fencing journey.


5th Place - Kyra Seow

Kyra Seow displayed remarkable resilience and skill, securing the 5th Place in the same event.


Under 14 Boy’s Épée Individual event

In the Under 14 Boy’s Épée Individual event, our young talents battled fiercely against international opponents from Australia, Korea, Latvia, and Malaysia.

🥉 Bronze - Immanuel Chua

Immanuel Chua stood out with his exceptional performance, claiming the Bronze Medal.


8th Place - Huang Kangzhe

Huang Kangzhe also delivered a commendable performance, securing the 8th place.


Under 14 Boy’s Épée Team Event

As the competition intensified, our young fencers not only upheld their individual excellence but also demonstrated remarkable teamwork in the Under 14 Boy’s Épée Team Event.

🥇 Gold - Immanuel Chua, Huang Kangzhe, Khuan Weiheng, Lim Ding Peng

Our fencers came together and fenced with determination, emerging as champions.


🥉 Bronze - Javien Wong, Leonard Koh, Nayden Poh, Wong Yee Kai

Not to be outdone, our fencers displayed extraordinary resilience and skill, securing the Bronze Medal.


Under 14 Women’s Épée Team Event

🥈 Silver - Shiloh Xu, Riddhi Jhurani, Kyra Seow, Melody Hong

Shiloh Xu, Riddhi Jhurani, Kyra Seow, and Melody Hong formed a formidable team that fought valiantly throughout the competition to the finals.

🥉 Bronze - Eallysha Maghfirah, Rui Xuan Ong, Nur Humaira Qistina

Not to be overshadowed, Eallysha Maghfirah, Rui Xuan Ong, and Nur Humaira Qistina exhibited unwavering resilience and grace under pressure.


Support and Unity

The essence of fencing as a team sport was evident as seniors from our club came down to support and cheer on their fellow fencers. Their presence and encouragement fostered an atmosphere of unity and mutual support among our athletes.


Congratulations to all the participants, coaches, and parents for their unwavering support and dedication to the sport. Together, we will continue to foster the spirit of fencing excellence.
