Silver from Coach Samson in the Singapore Senior (Open) Nationals 2021!

Representing SGF we have Coach Samson (Silver), Ryan Tan (21st), Ignatius Tan (22nd), Julien Lim (26th), Jonas Lim (29th), Elson Tan (33rd), Timothy Sim (34th), Matthew Pang (37th), David Leow (38th), Rusev Edgar (40th), Emmett Wong (42nd) and John Zhang (44th).

Coach Samson won all the bouts in his pools convincingly, and earned a bye into the Table of 32, winning his Table of 32:15-8, his Table of 16: 15-11, and Quarter-Finals 15-8. Coach Samson earned a spot in the finals after winning his Semi Finals 15-9, where he took back the Silver Medal for SGF!

Gold and Silver for our Cadet Boys in the Singapore Cadet (Under 17) Nationals 2021!

Amazing showing from our boys in the first local competition of the new fencing season!

Representing SGF we have Julien Lim (Gold), Matthew Pang (Silver), Elson Tan (6th), Tyler Chan (9th), Emmett Wong (14th), Zjien Ng (17th), Jonas Lim (18th), Javian Choong (23rd), John Zhang (24th) and Andrew Low (29th).

A great effort from our 13 year olds (Emmett, Jonas, Javian and John) passing pools and entering the direct elimination round, with Emmett winning his Table of 32 to enter the round of 16!

It was an exciting day with many nail biting bouts, 14 year old Matthew winning his Quarter-Final 15-14, and his Semi-Final 9-8, before teammates Julien and Matthew fought it out for the Gold Medal. 15 year old Julien eventually took back his second Cadet Gold after an intense 15-14 finals with Matthew!

Silver and Bronze for our Cadet Girls in the Singapore Cadet (Under 17) Nationals 2021!

Another amazing day of highs following our boys outstanding performance yesterday!

Representing us we have Ona Koning (Silver), Choong Zi Cheng (Bronze), Denise Seah (5th), Wong Shi Xuan (7th), Ashley Mae Harrison (11th), Lauren Leow (13th), Glynnis Tay (18th), Lee Che Wei (19th) and Ennabelle Tan (20th).

Great work from 13 year old Ashley, winning 3 bouts in her pool to qualify into the Direct Elimination round, and to bye the Table of 32 into the Table of 16!

15 year old Denise did well in pools winning 4 bouts, meeting teammate Lauren in the Table of 16, where she won 15-12. In the Quarter-Finals she met teammate Zi Cheng, finishing in 5th place overall.

15 year old Shi Xuan won her Table of 16 with a nail biting 15-14, before finishing 7th overall.

Ona won all her bouts in the pools convincingly, and did the same for her direct elimination bouts into the finals, clear and confident, she won the Silver for the Women's Epee Individual Event!

With 4 wins in the pools, Zi Cheng progressed into the Table of 16 with a Bye, and won the Bronze Medal for this event!
