The 2017 Singapore Fencing Championships held from the 20th-21st of May saw our fencers achieving fantastic results!

In the Men's Epee Individual event, our very own Coach Samson managed to fight his way into the finals and after a long and intense fight with his opponent, managed to walk away with the silver medal! Special mention goes out to Daryl Ng who finished in the Top 8 in his first senior competition of the season! Well Done Daryl!

In the Men's Sabre Individual event, we have a double podium finish where Ron Loh Ken Yang came through to win the gold medal after a long and hard-fought match in the finals while Jorelle See (Representing HCI) fenced his way into the semi-finals earning himself a bronze medal!

In the Women's Epee Individual event, Coach Cheryl fenced her heart out displaying true grit and determination throughout the whole day and ended the competition with a bronze medal after a hard-fought semi-final bout.

In the Women's Sabre Individual event, Christine Tan secured a bronze medal for herself as well after winning her quarter-final match with a convincing score of 15-6!

Thank you, Coach Samson and Coach Cheryl for being such great role-models for our younger fencers and congratulations to all our fencers that had taken part!

The Singapore Senior Fencing Championships took place from the 29th-30th April and our fencers brought back good news!

In the Men's Epee Individual event, Coach Samson finished the competition with a hard-fought bronze medal after a closely contested match in the semi-finals against Vietnamese opponent and eventual champion Nguyen Tien Nhat.

In the Men's Sabre Individual event, Jorelle See made Singapore proud by being the only Singaporean to reach the Top 4 clinching the bronze medal in a tight match in the semi-finals!

Well done to both Coach Samson and Jorelle! You have done the nation proud! Continue to be an inspiration to the younger fencers!
